To be in St. Petersburg and not to take a tour with bridge opening is just a crime, you can’t call it either way! It is possible to look at the bridge opening while there is navigation, that lasts from May to November. It is equally beautiful in the summer and in the autumn, but when the White Nights begin in Northern Venice – it is amazing!
Such excursion begins, as a rule, at around midnight. The boat goes along channels for about 1 hour and we see all those beautiful sightseeing points lit with light, and then we leave for the Neva river, we pass by Peter and Paul Fortress, Aurora military ship, or we go to St. Isaac’s Cathedral and Academy of Fine Arts, and then together with other boats we wait on water until the most beautiful bridge – the Palace Bridge – opens.
It opens while classical music sounds with the background of lit buildings standing along the embankment. An incredible show! Everyone, of course, takes classical pictures: The Peter and Paul Fortress between Palace Bridge shutters.)) After that the boat goes to the single-shutter Trinity Bridge designed by Gustav Eiffel (yes, the one you think of!) also returns to the pier. The pier, as a rule, is the same one – near the Main State, in other words close to the Nevsky Avenue, everything is located nearby. Time frames of the tour: 00:00am-01:40 am.
